Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process in an automated fashion based on your consent or in fulfillment of a contract surrendered to you or a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request direct transfer of the data to another controller we can only comply if this is technically feasible.

SSL or TSL encryption
For security purposes and to protect the transfer of confidential content such as orders or requests that you send to us as website operator, the forms on this site use SSL or TLS encryption, respectively. You can recognize an encrypted connection in the address bar of your browser. The URL changes from "http://" to "https://" and your browser displays a lock icon.

Objection to promotional emails
We explicitly object to the use of contact data published in accordance with the German Telemedia Act (impressum/legal notice) for the purpose of sending advertising and information material that was not specifically requested. The website's operator expressly reserves the right to take legal measures in the event of unsolicited provision of promotional information such as spam emails.

In accordance with section 37 GDPR a data protection officer is not required for our business.

4. Gathering of data on our website

Cookies
The web pages use, in part, what is known as cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. The purpose of the cookies is to make our internet presence more user friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are what is known as "session cookies". They are automatically deleted after you leave our website. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit us.

You can use your browser settings so that you are notified when cookies are set and cookies are only allowed when you accept them individually. Server log files
The provider of these pages automatically gathers and stores information in what is known as server log files and which are automatically transmitted to us by your browser. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • The operating system you use
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

These data are not merged with data from other sources.
Data processing is based on section 6 subsection 1 b GDPR which permits the processing of data to execute a contract or measures precedent to a contract.

Contact forms (e. g. contact form, pre order form, etc.)
When you use a form to make an inquiry, the data you enter into the form including your contact data are stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for the event that you may have follow-up questions. These data are not forwarded without your permission.

Hence, processing of the data entered into the form is executed exclusively on the basis of your consent (section 6 subsection 1 a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal email to this effect is sufficient. This does not affect the legality of the data processing that has occurred before the revocation.
We will retain the data you entered into the form until you request deletion, revoke your consent to store the data or until the purpose for storing these data becomes obsolete (e. g. when processing of your inquiry has been completed). Compelling legal requirements - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

Application opportunity
You can apply on our website or via email. When you apply, we gather and store the data you enter into the form or send us via email, respectively. We only process your data for the purpose of processing your application. The data is not transmitted. Legal basis for processing is section 6 subsection 1 b GDPR. If we cannot offer you a position we will store your data at most for 6 months after the end of your application process.

5. Analysis tools and advertising

Google reCAPTCHA
We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereafter “reCAPTCHA”) on our websites. Provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to verify whether data entry on our websites (e. g. in a contact form) was performed by a human being or by an automated program. To do so, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor by means of various parameters. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. reCAPTCHA evaluates a range of information for analysis (e. g. IP address, how long the visitor stays on the website or the user's mouse movements). The data gathered through this analysis are forwarded to Google.
The reCAPTCHA analyses are performed entirely in the background. Website visitors are not notified that an analysis is taking place.
Data processing is executed on the basis of Section 6 subsection 1 f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting their web services from improper automated spying efforts and SPAM.

6. Newsletter data

Below you find information regarding the content of our newsletter as well as on the subscription procedure, how our newsletter is delivered, what kind of data is used for statistical analysis and what your rights of objection are. By subscribing to our newsletter you agree to receiving the newsletter and to the described procedures. Content of the newsletter: We send out newsletters, emails and other electronic notifications with promotional information (hereinafter "Newsletter") only with the recipients' consent or a legal permission. As far as the content of the newsletter is specified during the subscription process, this content is substantial to the users' consent. Apart from that our newsletters contain information regarding our services and our business. Double opt-in and logging: Subscription to our newsletter requires a double opt-in process. This means that you receive an email after subscribing, asking you to confirm your subscription. This confirmation is necessary so that nobody can subscribe using another person's email address. Subscriptions to the newsletter are logged in order to comply with legal requirements to document the process. This includes storing the time of subscription and confirmation as well as the IP address. Changes to your data stored with the newsletter service provider are also logged. Subscription data: Your email address is sufficient to subscribe to our newsletter.

You have the option to provide a name so that we can address you personally in the newsletter.

Legal basis Germany: Dispatch of the newsletter, data processing and the statistical analysis involved is executed on the basis of the recipients' consent in accordance with section 6 subsection 1 a GDPR, section 7 GDPR in connection with § 7 subsection 2 No 3 of the German Act Against Unfair Competition (Gesetz gegen den unlauteren Wettbewerb, UWG) or on the basis of the legal permission in accordance with § 7 subsection 3 UWG. Logging of the subscription process is executed on the basis of our legitimate interest in accordance with section 6 subsection 1 f GDPR.

Our interest is in the application of a user friendly as well as safe newsletter system which serves both our business interest and satisfies user expectations and which also allows us consent documentation.

Withdrawal/revocation
You can object to receiving our newsletter and withdraw your consent at any time. Each newsletter includes a link to withdraw at the bottom. Based on our legitimate interest we can store the cancelled email addresses for up to three years before deleting them to document a previously given consent. Processing of these data is limited to the purpose of protection against possible claims. It is always possible to request individual deletion at any time, provided the existence of a previously given consent is confirmed.
This does not affect the legality of the data processing that has occurred before the revocation.


Newsletter2Go

We use Newsletter2Go (Newsletter2Go GmbH, Nuernberger Strasse 8, 10787 Berlin) as newsletter software. To this end your data is transferred to Newsletter2Go GmbH. The newsletter service provider is employed on the basis of our legitimate interests in accordance with section 6 subsection 1 f GDPR and a data processor contract in accordance with section 28 subsection 3 clause 1 GDPR.

In this context Newsletter2Go is prohibited from selling your data and to use them for other purposes than the dispatch of newsletters. Newsletter2Go is a German certified provider who was selected in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation and the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz)

Newsletter2Go is a service which allows, among other things, the organization and analysis of newsletters. The data you provide for the purpose of receiving the newsletter are stored and processed on Newsletter2Go's servers in Germany. No data are transferred abroad. Furthermore, all dispatch servers carry dedicated IPs


Additionally, Newsletter2Go has been awarded the TÜV Rheinland certificate of "Dienstleister mit geprüftem Datenschutzmanagement" (service provider with audited data protection management). The realization of the certified data protection is regularly audited by TÜV Rheinland. Basis for the certification included the TÜV Rheinland requirements catalogue, the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG), the German Telecommunications Act (Telekommunikationsgesetz, TKG) and the German Teleservices Act (Telemediengesetz, TMG).


Storage period
The data you provide for the purpose of receiving the newsletter are stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. After cancelling the newsletter these data are deleted from our servers and the servers of Newsletter2Go. Data we have stored for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for our members area) remain unaffected.

Conclusion of a contract regarding commissioned data processing
We have concluded a contract with Newsletter2Go which obligates Newsletter2Go to protect our customers' data and not to disclose them to third parties. Please contact us directly if you require further information.

Data analysis by Newsletter2Go
Newsletter2Go offers comprehensive tools for analysis and uses Google Analytics, among other things. Newsletter2Go allows us to analyze our newsletter campaigns. We can see, for instance, whether a newsletter message was opened and which links may have been clicked. This allows us to identify, among other things, which links were particularly interesting to our readers.

Furthermore, we can determine the conversion rate of previously defined actions, for example whether you bought something after you clicked on the newsletter.

Newsletter2Go also allows us to cluster our newsletter recipient in accordance with different categories such as age, gender or place of residence. This allows us to better adapt our newsletters to the respective target groups. However, we do not control which data are gathered and/or stored by Newsletter2Go beyond that. 7. Plugins and tools

YouTube
Our website uses plugins by YouTube which is operated by Google. Operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.
When you visit one of our pages that carries a YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube's servers is created. In this instance the YouTube server is notified which of our pages you visited.
When you are logged into your YouTube account you enable YouTube to directly associate your surfing behavior to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging off your YouTube account.

The usage of YouTube follows the interest of providing an attractive presentation of our online services. This constitutes a legitimate interest in accordance with section 6 subsection 1 f GDPR.

Vimeo
Our website uses plugins by the video portal Vimeo. Provider is Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.
When you visit one of our pages that carries a Vimeo plugin, a connection to Vimeo's servers is created. During this process the Vimeo server is notified which of our pages you have visited. Additionally, Vimeo learns your IP address. This also applies when you are not logged in to Vimeo or do not have an account with Vimeo. The information gathered by Vimeo are transferred to the Vimeo server in the USA.
When you are logged into your Vimeo account you enable Vimeo to directly associate your surfing behavior to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging off your Vimeo account.

Google Web Fonts
This site uses what is called Web Fonts provided by Google to facilitate a uniform presentation of fonts. When viewing a page your browser loads the required Web Fonts into your browser's cache to display texts and fonts correctly.
For this purpose the browser you use needs to establish a connection with Google's servers. This notifies Google to the effect that our website was visited through your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts follows the purpose of a uniform and attractive presentation of our online services. This constitutes a legitimate interest in accordance with section 6 subsection 1 f GDPR.
A standard font on your computer will be used if your browser does not support Web Fonts.
